Our vision
To bring children to Jesus through activities, teaching and worship, and to encourage them and their families to be engaged in Church life.
At Gateway Baptist Church, all children are seen as part of the Church Family. Learning through fun is key. Trekkers, for children aged three to ten, meets on Sunday mornings from 11am until the end of the service, with the children split into two, age appropriate, groups called Packers and Explorers. There is a supervised Crèche for the under three’s.
Little Fish Toddler Group (formerly SonBeams)
Our refreshed toddler group, Little Fish, meets on Wednesdays from 10.15am – 11.30am. Children aged 0 – 3 years (to the end of the term in which the child becomes 3yrs old) are very welcome, and will have toys and craft available, along with story time and song time. We serve coffees/teas to parents/carers (£1 per adult), but ask that you bring your own drinks and snacks (nut free) for your children. Childminders are welcome, but with a maximum of 2 children each.
Please register with the church office (01444 233050, office@gatewaybaptist.org.uk) by the Tuesday of the week you wish to attend, to secure your place.
Activate!
In the school holidays, we run Activate! fun sessions for primary school aged children on some Thursday afternoons from 2 – 4pm, for which there is no charge. These include Bible stories, games, craft and refreshments.
Fish & Bricks Pre-School
Another very busy group associated with the church is the Fish & Bricks Pre-School which is overseen by a management team of Church members.
